As we all know, Chris Evans is a pretty big star on his way up. In fact, he is even starring in the soon to be released Captain America movie. But, in the Puncture movie, you will have an opportunity to see him play a role, like you have never seen him perform before.
In Puncture the movie he really reveals his true acting skills, some even say that it is the first time he has played a part that does justice to his amazing talents. In the movie he portrays an attorney named Mike Weiss. His character is anything but what you expect a lawyer to be. He is a drug crazed cocaine freak, that at some parts of the movie you have to wonder if he is even sane or not.
About the only part of him, that even remotely resembles what an attorney should be like, is the fact that he desperately wants to win the case. In reality, he should not even be involved with it at all, he should of been in a treatment center seeking help for his addiction.
His legal partner in the movie, is played by Mark Kassen, who is also the co-director of the film with his brother Adam. His characters name is Paul Danziger, and he acts like a typical lawyer should. So, you have one lawyer that is constantly messed up because of all the drugs he is doing, and his partner is always trying to calm him down and get him to think rationally.
If there was ever two people that should have had nothing to do with each other at all, it is these two. That being said, they do make an effective team when they can put their differences aside. A large part of the film deals with how these two coexist in what is the largest court case that they will ever partake in.
The court battle was an actual case that changed every Americans citizen's life forever. It is about American business, and the lengths that it will go to in order to stymie the competition. Most of us, if not all of us think, that if you have the best product or service, your company will be successful in that market.
This film shows us how this extremely big business operates on the inside, and what their executives will lower themselves to just to make a little money. This is one of those movies, which you finally get to like the attorneys involved within it for the right reasons. Well, that is at least the lawyers that are working for the small businessman. The attorneys on the other side of the case, are almost as unscrupulous as the people that they are representing.
All in all, the Puncture movie is a not to be missed film, if you like high intensity courtroom dramas. Another reason the movie should be seen, is that the characters played by Chris Evans and Mark Kassen, have some fascinating scenes where they show off their brilliant acting skills.
